Transformation through the Medicine of Rest
Yoga is more than movement — it’s a way of living, relating, and resting in harmony with yourself and the world. In my practice, I draw from the roots of yoga philosophy and integrate rest-based practices like restorative yoga and yoga nidra to create spaces for slowing down, softening, and coming home to yourself.
As a 200-hour Yoga Teacher (soon to be 500hr!) with advanced certifications in Yoga Nidra and iRest Yoga Nidra (Levels 1 and 2), I guide each session with care, compassion, and deep respect for your individual needs. My approach to yoga is grounded in creating a safe and supportive space for you to truly let go, rest, and heal. Whether in group settings or one-on-one, my sessions are accessible, trauma-informed, and customized to your unique journey. My current yoga focus is on yoga nidra - an important facet of the medicine of rest.
Yoga Benefits
Ease mental fatigue and quiet the mind through slow, mindful movement and guided rest. Yoga nidra supports a shift from doing to simply being.
MIND
Restorative yoga and yoga nidra invite deep rest and release. Through supported postures and stillness, the body can unwind from states of chronic tension or overdrive.
BODY
This is a practice of return — to inner stillness, dreams, and subtle knowing. A space to soften, listen, and reconnect with your essence.
SPIRIT
Whether in group settings or one-on-one, my sessions are accessible, trauma-informed, and customized to your unique journey.
The Foundations:
Yamas, Niyamas, and the Eight Limbs of Yoga
Yoga philosophy offers a map for living with integrity, compassion, and awareness. The eight limbs of yoga describe a path that includes ethics, self-discipline, physical postures, breath, sensory withdrawal, focus, meditation, and ultimately, a sense of union.
The Yamas — such as ahimsa (non-harming) and satya (truthfulness) — guide how we interact with the world. The Niyamas — such as santosha (contentment) and svadhyaya (self-study) — guide how we care for ourselves.
These principles are the foundation of how I teach and hold space. They are woven into my language, my pacing, and the way I invite you to notice your body, your mind, and your inner truth. This is yoga beyond the mat — a practice that informs every choice, every breath, every interaction.
Restorative Yoga
In a world that prizes productivity and speed, restorative yoga is a radical act of reclaiming rest. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows, the body is fully supported in long-held, gentle postures. This allows muscles to release, the breath to deepen, and the nervous system to shift into a state of true rest.
I see restorative yoga as part of what I call the medicine of rest — an essential resource for our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. In this space, you don’t need to strive or achieve. You simply arrive, are supported, and receive the deep nourishment of stillness.
Classes will be coming soon, offering you a sanctuary where your only task is to soften.

Yoga Nidra: The Art of Conscious Rest
In today’s fast-paced world, rest has become a rare and often overlooked necessity. At Architecture of Wellness, I specialize in the art and healing power of yoga nidra, a guided practice of conscious relaxation that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Known as "yogic sleep," Yoga nidra is not about physical movement—it's about finding profound rest, stillness, and healing.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative practice that invites you to enter a state of conscious rest, somewhere between wakefulness and sleep. Through guided meditation, breathwork, and visualization, you’ll experience:
A release of physical and emotional tension.
An enhanced ability to manage stress and anxiety.
A connection to your inner peace and clarity.
Benefits of Yoga Nidra
Reduces stress and supports emotional resilience.
Improves sleep and energy levels.
Enhances self-awareness and mindfulness.
Supports healing from trauma and life transitions.
Deepens your connection to self and inner wisdom.
Why Yoga Nidra?
I believe that rest is medicine. Yoga nidra offers a unique opportunity to heal from within by calming the nervous system, cultivating mindfulness, and enhancing self-awareness. It’s a practice suitable for everyone, regardless of age or experience, and is particularly beneficial if you:
Struggle with stress, insomnia, or burnout.
Are recovering from emotional or physical challenges.
Simply long for a moment of deep, restorative peace.

Yoga is not about perfecting a pose — it’s about remembering who you are.
I invite you to explore these practices with me and discover how yoga, in all its forms, can become a way of being.
What to Expect in a Yoga Nidra Session?
During a Yoga Nidra session we can practice as a guided relaxation or a co-meditation dyad.
In a guided Yoga Nidra session you’ll simply lie down or sit comfortably while I guide you through:
Settling In: Breathwork and gentle relaxation to help you unwind.
The Practice: A journey through visualization and mindfulness techniques designed to calm the mind and relax the body.
Integration: A moment of quiet reflection as you return to the present feeling refreshed and renewed.
No movement or prior experience is required. All you need is a comfortable space to rest and an openness to receive.
In an iRest Co-Meditation Dyad, you’ll engage in a deeply supportive, guided dialogue where I hold space for you to explore your inner experience. The process is gentle, collaborative, and focused on your unique needs:
Settling In: We begin by creating a safe, grounded space, using breathwork and mindful awareness to help you settle into the present moment.
The Exploration: Through guided inquiry and compassionate listening, I help you connect somatically with sensations, emotions, and thoughts, allowing space for insights, healing, or integration to arise naturally.
Integration: We close the session with a moment of quiet reflection, grounding you back into the present so you leave feeling centered, empowered, and renewed.
This process requires no prior experience—just an openness to connect with yourself in a supported, healing environment.
